#GetPumpedforHeartHealth with Gordmans all April!

All treasure. No hunt. That is my kind of shopping! I have teamed up with Gordmans to show you all how I am taking care of myself. You guys know that is always a big priority for me whether it be mental or physical health I believe we should all take time each day for ourselves! Throughout the month of April Gordmans will be hosting activations and give back initiatives to raise money for American Heart Association. And right now you can donate with each purchase to the association and #GetPumpedForHeartHealth!

On my current self care routine:

1. Better skincare

2. Time alone with less screen time

3. Relaxing to lower my stress

4. A good nights sleep

All of these things truly make me not only a happier person but lead to better mental health. I know it sounds like a stretch but truly the little things can add up. Whether you grab a cup of tea and take some time to yourself and even step away from a situation to take a few deep breaths - all of these can lead to less stress and therefore better heart health! What do you guys do to take care of yourself?

The tray, headband, face mask, candle, nail buffer, bath salts, nail polish and makeup remover wipes were all purchase at Gordmans for a total of less than $50! You can find your closest location here.

Finding My Wedding Dress (The Pictures!)

The Bridal Collection Justin Alexander-1105.jpg

Well not of the dress… I am going to have to wait 6 more months for that one and you all and Jon have at least a year and a half ahead of you… SORRY GUYS! I did want to take a minute and to go into more depth about the process of shopping for a wedding dress than I was able to fit into my vlog - see here if you have yet!

All images were captured by Katie Corinne Photography!

I have to thank The Bridal Collection and Justin Alexander for setting all of this up. I know I was beyond spoiled in my appointment and I would’ve been happy without all the extra champagne, food and photographers but it will now forever be in my top few days. Ok now into the real business…

First of all - I did NOT know what to expect. I had purchased a debutante dress so I had been in wedding dresses before but never for my own wedding. I still can’t even wrap my head around the fact that I am getting married FOR REAL. So going into this experience it still all didn’t feel real.

Second - I am a super duper emotional person so I expected to be a wreck. Honestly when there weren’t massive tears flowing I started to get worried - am I doing something wrong?? did I not actually find THE one?? Ultimately I think I was so laser focused on designing my dress (yes that’s right my bad boy is custom designed - pinch me now) that I didn’t even have time to break down. Also I felt SO comfortable that I didn’t even think I had time to feel out of my body - I was just soaking it all in.

Thank you so much Justin & Team!

Thank you so much Justin & Team!

There is no right or wrong way to find your wedding dress - especially if you are like me and don’t even have a date or venue!

If I had to do it again I would 100% be at the Bridal Collection and trying on those beautiful Justin Alexander gowns. Learning the history about the line and how Justin is part of the family business was awesome. It was so cool to have the design team there telling me what they were thinking when designing the dress and being able to find a piece of the story that was special to me.

I can’t wait to wear this dress and marry you Jon Kelley, but we’ve got a longgg road ahead of us. This is all for wedding/engagement posts for now but don’t worry once we are settled I will have LOTS to tell you all about. I graduate in two months and we move four days later - AH! I can’t believe this is my life I am so happy.
