Derby Day + Macy's

Happy almost Derby Day! I am excited to partner with Macy's Cherry Creek to share my derby style and giveaway a ticket to Denver Derby Party and a $100 Macy's gift card to one of my readers! Sunday I went to Macy's and met with Kimberly James their 'my stylist' to hear about how Macy's is gearing up for the weekend and find my perfect Derby look. Kimberly was AMAZING - someone I want to just sit and talk about fashion with for hours. She works with clients for any occasion (or a total closet revamp) giving them tips and tricks on how to build an awesome wardrobe.

One of her tips was to find pieces that can mix and match into your current closet. "If you need to buy a whole outfit you are buying the wrong thing". This inspired me to create a derby look that was not only unique but could be worn more than one day. This top and pant set is so fun - floral is perfect for the derby - but the off the shoulder and wide leg pant are going to be a fun addition to my summer wardrobe. Of course the headpiece was a must and may only be worn once a year but I couldn't say no.

SO if you want to win a Macy's gift card and a ticket to Denver's Derby Party head to my instagram to get the details on how to enter :) GIVEAWAY CLOSES THURSDAY MAY 4TH

Bold Brows for Fall

Thank you to European Wax Center® for sponsoring this post!

European Wax Center® has been my go-to brow magicians for the past year. Bold brows have been a trend all over the runways of fashion week and in every glossy page of magazines. Growing up, I remember begging my mom to let me wax my eyebrows into a thin extremely arched line and I am so glad she never let me. I love my bold brows and they are right on trend for fall. That being said I only trust European Wax Center® to not only wax my brows but also, help maintain them weeks after my visit to their center. Recently I have started using their Strut Boldly™ products from their new line Strut 365™ and I am so excited to share my thoughts about each product with you.

While I love bold brows I don’t love the look of a “sharpie brow” or one that looks painted on. In order to achieve my most natural bold brow, I start with the wax. Last week I went into the Center to get my brows trimmed, waxed and just cleaned up. Once my brows are in tip-top shape I am able to use a small amount of product on them. I start with the Browfection™  Powder Duo and apply the lighter color in upward strokes with the Brow Pals Dual-Ended Brush.

I love using this brush to apply the powder because of the dual end. Anything to get the job done quicker is what I am all about. A powder is my preferred method of filling in my brows because with a soft formula of the BrowFection™ makes my brows look like and airy instead of weighed down.

To set my brows in place I use Ready. Set. Brow! ™ Perfect Brow Groomer. The gel is soft holding meaning it keeps your brows in place without a crusty or sticky residue. Finally, to add that extra umph to my brows I highlight under them with Oh My Brow! ™ Brow Highlighter. The creamy formula doesn’t have chunks of glitter like a lot of highlighters making it perfect to just sweep on pat in and go.

So! If you guys want to get on this season’s trend with me make sure to head into your local European Wax Center® the expert in brows. You can make a reservation online and receive $5 off your service if you mention this post! Or if is your first time new guests can get an eyebrow wax for free. On your way out make sure to check out all these products I mentioned for your best brows yet!
